Bengaluru: Boy attacked by stray dogs died
Bengaluru, September 2: A four-year-old boy Praveen who was attacked by stray dogs a few days ago, died here.
Praveen, son of Manoj of Vibhutipura in HAL police station limits was attacked by the stray dogs on Wednesday. A pack of stray dogs attacked him when he was playing near the house. Seriously injured boy was admitted to a hospital. But he breathed his last, it is said.
Locals alleged that the BBMP has failed to control the stray dogs menace in the city. It was the 62nd death for the stray dogs menace in Bengaluru.
Compensation
Mayor Sampath Raj announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh was announced to the family of Praveen. The Mayor also announced Rs 10,000 for his last rites and promised of giving a house at Vibhutipura slum.

IPL 2026 to be held between March 26-May 31 window
Mumbai (PTI): The upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League will be held between the March 26 to May 31 window but it remains to be seen if Bengaluru, the home of RCB, holds the opening match.
