Bengaluru: Cash and gold ornaments worth several lakhs were reported stolen from the office of Byrathi Suresh, the Minister for Urban Development. The Vidhana Soudha police have arrested a D Group employee in connection with the theft.
According to the police, a person named Naveen had visited the minister’s office for work and accidentally left behind a bag containing 300 grams of gold ornaments and Rs 1.50 lakh in cash. When he returned to the office the next day, he found that the bag was missing.

Naveen then filed a complaint at the Vidhana Soudha police station. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and examined CCTV footage installed inside the office.
During the review of the footage, the police noticed Antony, a D Group employee working in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR), carrying the bag away from the office.
Following this, the Vidhana Soudha police conducted an operation and arrested the accused.

Washington (PTI): US President Donald Trump cares deeply about the US-India relationship, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said on Tuesday after meeting Trump at the White House.
“Back in the US for a few days. First stop, meeting with our GREAT President in the White House. The President deeply cares about the relationship between the US and India,” Gor said in a post on X on Tuesday evening.
Gor also posted a photograph of himself with Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in the Oval Office.
Gor assumed the office of the US Ambassador to India in January this year. Earlier, he served as the Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office.
Gor also serves as the US Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs.
