Bengaluru: The Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS – Collective Leadership) is organising the second edition of its two-day ‘Raithe Santhe’ in Rajarajeshwarinagar, while the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bengaluru, will host a one-day Raitha Santhe at its GKVK campus in the northern part of the city.

Open from 7 am to 4 pm, the UAS event will feature a wide array of products developed by the university and supported by local Self-Help Groups. According to the organisers this event aims to raise awareness about sustainable agriculture while offering residents a chance to support local farmers and producers.

Visitors can expect seeds, bio-fertilizers, medicinal plants, agricultural tools, handmade soaps and face creams, ready-to-cook powders, millet-based snacks, nutritional laddus, and bakery items, among others.
Both events are open to the public.

Shivamogga: A 68-year-old man was allegedly murdered when he was taking a walk on the Government PU College Road in Hosakoppa village, Hole Honnur, in Bhadravathi taluk on Friday.

The deceased man, identified as Hemanna, is reported to have been attacked earlier too, but is learned to have had a narrow escape.

Hole Honnur Police, being informed of the incident, visited the spot and are learned to have conducted an inspection.
