Bengaluru: In a major operation on drug trafficking, the anti-narcotics wing of the Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) Police arrested a 44-year-old woman who was allegedly hand-in-glove with a Nigerian man in supplying drugs.
The arrested is identified as NK Subhashini, who lives in Puttanna Layout situated near Marasandra on Bagalur Main Road. The police are looking for the Nigerian, who is absconding, as per a report by the Times of India.
The duo was accused of providing MDMA to college students, businessmen and IT-BT professionals in North-east Bengaluru.
Sub-inspector Keshavamurthy K is said to have led the investigation on Saturday, February 21, after receiving information on the sale of drugs. The team that raided Subhashini’s residence seized approximately 3,000 pills, a mobile phone, a portable weighing machine and zip-lock covers.
Subhashini is learned to have confessed during police interrogation that she knew Lutaya Patrick, the Nigerian for four years. She reportedly added that Patrick was her source of drugs, which he got either from Nigeria or from other Nigerians in Bengaluru.
The CCB team has said that the duo is learned to have been selling each pill for Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 and used the gains from the illegal trade to live a lavish life. They had also developed a local customer network, which included students, businessmen and techies.
A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Bagalur Police Station and further investigation is underway.

Tehran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that it will target US technology companies operating in the region, urging employees and nearby residents to evacuate immediately.
In a statement carried by Iran’s Tasnim news agency, the IRGC said, “Since the main element in designing and tracking terrorist targets are American and ICT and AI companies … from now on, [these] main institutions will be our legitimate targets.”
The statement added that more than 15 companies could be targeted, including Boeing, Tesla, Meta, Google and Apple.
The IRGC said the action would begin from 8pm local time tomorrow if further Iranian leaders are killed in what it described as “targeted assassinations”.
There has been no immediate response from the companies named or from US authorities.
The warning marks a significant escalation, expanding potential targets beyond military and energy infrastructure to include major global technology firms.
