Kalburgi: KPCC working president Eshwar Khandre on Sunday alleged that the government is yielding to riots and brings sentimental matters to the forefront to hide their failures.

Speaking to reporters about the Hubballi riots, he said that it is important to maintain harmony. “The guilty should be punished. The BJP is bringing sentimental matters to the forefront to back their wrongs. People are watching everything,” he said.

“Karnataka has become the corruption capital due to BJP’s politics. Contractor Santosh Patil has killed himself by mentioning former minister Eshwarappa in his death note. The case must have been registered under Prevention of Corruption Act. Yet, the government is backing Eshwarappa,” he alleged.
