Bengaluru, May 16: As BJP can do anything to quench its power thirst, it is inevitable for the party to protect its MLAs as a precautionary measure, said JDS state president HD Kumaraswamy.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Kumaraswamy said that JDS candidates have got the public confidence through their votes. Now, BJP has been conspiring to lure them with money, he added.
Misusing of Raj Bhavan
If the Governor asked Yeddyurappa to form the government, then Yeddyurappa has to prove his majority in the floor legally. Is it possible to prove its majority keeping 104 seats? BJP is trying to get the power from the back-door by misusing the Raj Bhavan, he alleged.
Even in 2008, the BJP had purchased the MLAs and encouraged large scale corruption in the state. Once again, the BJP has been trying to do the same thing and people would definitely teach them a lesson, he said.
‘They can’t purchase me’
Central Minister Prakash Javdekar has said that the BJP would purchase HD Kumaraswamy. Till now, nobody has born to purchase Kumaraswamy. He has agreed to join hands with the Congress because of love, sacrifice and confidence, he said.
