BJP has to pay if it touched Cong MLA’s: DKS
Bengaluru, May 17: Congress leader DK Shivakumar said that if the BJP tried to poach Congress MLA’s, it has to pay for its deed.
Staging a protest in front of the Vidhana Soudha here on Thursday condemning Governor Vajubhai Vala’s ‘unconstitutional’ move, Shivakumar said that BJP cannot prove its majority. If Sriramulu and Janardhan Reddy tried to poach Congress MLA’s, then BJP has to face the consequences. The news that many Congress MLA’s are in contact with the BJP is just a rumour. BJP people have been floating such rumours to create confusion. “If the BJP tried to attract our MLA’s, we have to plunge into the action in our own way”, he warned

Minor girl kidnapped and raped; main accused and two cafe owners held
Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
