Bengaluru, May 18: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah alleged that though the BJP has kidnapped Congress MLA Anand Singh and kept him under illegal detention, he would vote in favor JDS-Congress combine.

Speaking to reporters at the KPCC office here on Friday, Siddarmaiah said that the BJP leaders Janardhan Reddy and Sriramulu have spoken to some MLAs of Congress and JDS in order to attract them to the BJP and the Congress has all the records of their discussions. They would disclose them at the right time, he said.

The Governor has invited the BJP to form the government which is unconstitutional and violation of Supreme Court orders. He has given 15 days’ time for the floor test, which is for the first time in the history of the country. The credit for this decision should go to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amith Shah, he remarked.

As soon as the election results were announced on May 15, Congress senior leaders Mallikarjuna Kharge, Gulam Nabi Azad, Dr G Parameshwar and others have met the Governor, apprised him of the situation and appealed him to give the chance to the JDS-Congress combine to form the government has they have 117 strength. But the Governor has invited the BJP which does not have majority and it is the murder of the democracy, Siddaramaiah said.

Gulam Nabi Azad said that as decided in Goa, Meghalay and Manipur states, they have requested the Governor to invite the JDS-Congress combine to form the government. But the Governor has acted against the Constitution and invited the BJP, which is a black mark in the democracy, he added.

It’s a blow to BJP

Both Narendra Modi and Amith Shah are the fossils of Hitler in the country. They do not have respect towards the country and the Constitution. This is a clear violation of Constitutional provisions. The Supreme Court has already given a blow to those who tried to defy the Constitution. The BJP has detained Anand Singh and he would vote for JDS-Congress combine tomorrow, Siddaramaiah said.
