BJP MLA Karajola’s son abuses constable: Allegation
Bagalkote, July 16: BJP MLA Govinda Karajola’s son Arun has allegedly abused and insulted a police constable for questioning the traffic rules violation, at Mudhol on Monday.
When Arun parked his car at No Parking area, police constable Mallesh Lamani asked him not to park the vehicle. Enraged by his warning, Arun has reportedly abused the constable with foul language and this has forced the traffic police to take his followers to the police station. Later, Arun called the police constable over phone and abused him with foul language, it is alleged.
Traffic police filed a case against Arun for obstructing the police from discharging their duties and using foul language. The case was registered against Arun on the basis of a complaint by constable Mallesh Lamani.

Lokayukta searches govt officials in Karnataka
Bengaluru (PTI): Karnataka Lokayukta officials on Tuesday conducted searches on properties belonging to government officials in various parts of the state, on the suspicion that they have possessed assets disproportionate to their income, official sources said.
The searches and verification of documents are on against at least four officials from Shivamogga, Mandya, Dharwad and Vijayanagara districts, the sources added.
Those being searched include a Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation official in Shivamogga and a health department official in Vijayanagara district.
