Bengaluru: BS Yeddyurappa in Vidhan Soudha agreed to face a floor test. He couldn't do it. This is a victory of democracy, says former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

"Today is a historic day in Indian politics. There was immense pressure on the Governor by the central government. The Governor's decision was a blot on Indian democracy. We should respect the people's mandate. It is a responsibility of all politicians and democratic heads. PM Modi and his ministers are working against the democracy. Modi is Hitler, and Amit Shah is Goebbels" Siddaramaiah said.

Though BSY asked a week time to prove the majority, the governor granted 15 days. It is clear that the governor is pro-BJP. The statement of PM Modi is condemnable when in which he said that they would make the government even if we know that the majority has not come. Prime Minister Narendra Modi promoted the horse trading, and Yeddyurappa has agreed that the latter was indulged in the horse trading. But I am grateful to all the Congress and JD(S) MLAs who knocked down their tricks.
