Davanagere: A case has been registered at the KTJ Nagar Police Station against BJP legislator from Harihara BP Harish, who is accused of making derogatory statement against Davanagere Superintendent of Police Uma Prashanth.

The MLA, in a press meet on Tuesday, reportedly insulted the SP by comparing her to a dog, following which, the SP filed a complaint with Harihara Police. Based on the officer’s complaint, a case is learned to have been booked against the legislator under Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita 2023 (U/s-132,351(2), (79).

Harish is said to have alleged that the SP pays no respect to legislators and turns her face to them. “With the family of Shamanuru (Shivashankarappa), however, she acts like a pet Pomeranian, guarding his house for hours. She is completely pro-establishment but, as SP, should realize that power is temporary,” he added before reporters.
