Bengaluru, May 31: Former minister and MLA DK Shivakumar and his brother MP DK Suresh alleged that the centre has indulged in vindictive politics by using the CBI, IT and ED.

Speaking in a joint press conference at their house at Sadashiva Nagar in the city on Thursday, they said that the centre has been targeting them. The centre has been misusing the CBI, IT and ED to target them. By doing this, both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah have been threatening the democracy. Because of their role in the formation of JDS-Congress coalition government, they have been targeting them, they alleged.

“If they think that they could suppress our family from such threats, it is wrong. We will not collapse. We are ready for everything. We have not done anything wrong. We have not done politics beyond legal frameworks. If you think of suppressing our voice just by booking false cases, it is your illusion. Anything could happen between birth and death. You can book false cases against us. We are ready for anything. But we will respect the judiciary”, they said.
