Ramanagara: A 30-year-old woman has been arrested for attacking a beautician with chilli powder in a bid to rob her at a parlour in Channapatna town.
According to a report published by The New Indian Express on Monday, the incident took place recently at Kruthika Beauty Parlour on MG Road, Channapatna. The victim has been identified as Saritha (44), who runs the parlour, while the accused has been named as Sabhiha, a resident of the same locality.
As per Saritha’s police complaint, Banu arrived at the parlour around 12:30 p.m., claiming she was waiting for someone. After delaying her turn for nearly two hours, she attacked Saritha when no one else was around by throwing chilli powder into her eyes. She then snatched Saritha’s mangalasutra, a gold chain valued at approximately Rs 2 lakh, and attempted to flee.
