Mangaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has commended a young girl for her immediate and courageous response during a road accident near Kinnigoli on September 6.

The incident occurred when an auto-rickshaw struck Chetana, a 35-year-old resident of Rajaratnapur, while she was crossing a road on the Kinnigoli Ullanje Kateel Highway. The vehicle lost control and toppled onto the woman.

A young girl, who was walking nearby, immediately rushed to help, lifting the auto-rickshaw off the injured woman and assisting her until further help arrived.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, in a post on 'X,' praised the girl’s quick thinking and action, contrasting it with the concerning trend of bystanders filming such incidents rather than providing aid. He urged society to remember that every second counts in emergencies like accidents, fires, or heart attacks.
