Committed to waive off farm loan: CM
Bengaluru, June 15: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy reiterated that he was committed to waive off the farm loans.
Giving a clarification in Twitter on Friday, the Chief Minister said that no one should get panic over the issue. “Farmers, there is no confusion on waiving the farm loans. I am committed to keep my words. I have started my home work on this direction and shortly, I would declare this”, he tweeted.

Karnataka DGP Alok Mohan’s term extended till May 21
Bengaluru, Apr 29 (PTI): Karnataka Director General and Inspector General of Police (DG&IGP) Alok Mohan's term has been extended till May 21, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s office said on Tuesday.
Mohan was to retire on April 30.
Since May 2023 he has been serving as the DG&IGP.
According to official sources, the extension is said to be aimed at ensuring compliance with the Supreme Court’s directive of a fixed two-year tenure for the state police chief.
