Cong MLA's won’t go to BJP: Shamanur
Bengaluru, May 16: No MLA's belonging to Lingayat community elected from Congress would go to BJP, said senior Congress leader Shamanur Shivashankarappa.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Shamanur said that being the president of Veerashaiva Mahasabha, he is telling this. No MLA from the Congress would become the prey for the BJP, he said.
No Congress MLA's would go to BJP. If the BJP tried to poach any MLA's, there are six BJP MLA's in his contact. But he would not divulge their names. They only would come in front of the people in such circumstances, said MLA MB Patil.

Minor girl kidnapped and raped; main accused and two cafe owners held
Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
