Bangalore: As a result of lock down imposed due to disastrous coronavirus outbreak in the state, Yasir Hassan, President, Popular Front of India Karnataka state has sought the state government to announce special packages. He also requested the citizens to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the health ministry.
He added that currently precaution is the only medicine for Covid 19 and instead of considering quarantine as a house arrest people should understand it as home remedy.
“Already nine districts of the state are under lock down and there are high chances of it being imposed throughout the state and so the state government should take quick action in reaching the people from the grass root level to avail them the basic necessities of life and food. To be a supporting hand in the medical sector, appointment of expertise volunteers has to be encouraged” he said.
He also said the government and District administration can make use of volunteers of Popular front of India as the members are ready to work for the cause throughout the state. He also requested to open the medical camps as per the requirement.

Dhar (MP) (PTI): Twelve labourers were killed and 20 others injured when the pick-up van carrying them overturned and collided with an SUV in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday night, an official said.
The incident occurred at 8:30-9 PM. According to preliminary information, 35 labourers were returning home in a pickup van from Baggad in Dhar district when the driver lost control of the vehicle near Chikliya crossing. The vehicle overturned and collided with an SUV coming from the opposite direction.
"Twelve people died on the spot, while approximately 20 others were injured," said Dhar district's in-charge collector, Abhishek Choudhary.
The seriously injured persons were referred to Indore after initial treatment, he said.
Choudhary, DIG Mayank Awasthi, and police personnel rushed to the spot.
Tirla police have registered a case and are investigating the accident.
