Bengaluru: The Director of Department of Pre-University Education has issued a circular to announce the results of the first PUC students' annual examination for 2019-20. The circular has instructed the colleges to announce the results of PUC I on May 5.
The circular however has directed colleges to not display the results on the notice boards of the college adding that it can lead to students and parents rushing to the college which can also lead to violation of lockdown and social distancing norms.
To avoid the gatherings of students and parents on college premises, results should be sent to students only through mobile phones or emails, the circular instructed.
Students are warned not to come near colleges for any reason (even in the green zone districts). Those students who could not pass the first PUC examination will be notified by the department in the next few days about the supplementary examination at the college, the circular said.
Colleges should not call the passed out students to take admission into PU-II till further orders. Also, the institutions should not force the students to pay full fees at the time of admission; the circular said.
