DK brothers express their disappointment before Cong leaders
Bengaluru, May 23: DK brothers have reportedly expressed their displeasure against the Congress leaders for not considering DK Shivakumar who is instrumental in the formation of JDS-Congress coalition government, for Deputy Chief Minister post.
They have been taking care of all MLAs from being poached by the BJP. But when it comes to entrust power, they were being neglected, they reportedly said and MP DK Suresh left Hilton Hotel yesterday night itself.
It is said that Suresh has expressed his anger against the leaders before the party MLAs in the hotel and left the hotel saying that henceforth they would not take up any responsibility and do whatever you want.
Though AICC secretary Yashomati Thakur tried to pacify Suresh, it was in vain. After this incident, KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar tried to call both DK Shivakumar and DK Suresh several times, but could not reach them.
After JDS-Congress meeting at Hotel Taj West End, it is said that DK Shivakumar was demanding Deputy Chief Minister post. But Congress incharge of state KC Venugopal said that since the Chief Minister post was also given to Vokkaliga community, DCM post cannot be given to the same community. Instead, Venugopal advised DK Shivakumar to take the KPCC president responsibility of the Congress in the state.

Minor girl kidnapped and raped; main accused and two cafe owners held
Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
