Doubt if Nalin Kumar Kateel himself understands what he speaks: HD Kumaraswamy
Hubballi: Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday took on BJP’s state president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel adding that the latter’s remarks should not be taken seriously.
Nalin Kumar Kateel has been making the headlines with controversial remarks lately, to which the JD(s) leader said Nalin Kumar himself cannot understand what he speaks.
“I cannot understand what Nalin Kumar says, and I doubt if he himself understands what he speaks at public rallies and events.” Kumaraswamy said.
He was replying to a question posed by one of the reporters regarding Nalin Kumar’s remarks that Siddamaraiah had achieved political mileage after deceiving leaders like former PM HD Deve Gowda.
Speaking about the IT raids at JD(s) leader Prabhakar Reddy’s house, Kumaraswamy said “There’s an IT raid every 2-3 months on opposition leaders. These have now become a norm in the wake of assembly elections. We all know why these raids happen.”

Indian crew killed in 'unfortunate' maritime incident: Indian mission in Dubai
Dubai (PTI): An Indian crew member was killed in an "unfortunate" maritime incident, the Indian mission said on Friday, extending assistance.
The Indian Consulate in Dubai did not give much information about the incident but said it was "saddened to learn of the unfortunate incident at Sea that caused the tragic death of an Indian crew of a ship".
In a post on X, the Consulate said it was in touch with the ship's owner and is ascertaining further details.
"The Consulate will render all possible assistance in this matter on priority. Our deepest condolences," it said.
