Bengaluru, May 12: Cricketer Rahul Dravid who was selected as the Karnataka Election Commission’s ambassador, exercised his vote at CV Raman Nagar in the city on Saturday.
At 11 am, Rahul Dravid, along with his family members, came to the polling station and exercised their votes. “Everybody should vote for the betterment of the democracy. It is our duty to form good government by exercising our votes”, he told reporters later.
Kumble casts his vote
Another senior cricketing legend, Anil Kumble, along with his family members, exercised his vote. “Let all of us participate in the democracy for its success by exercising our votes”, he said.

Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
