Financial status of state government not very pleasing: CM Yediyurappa
Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday admitted that financial status of the state was not very pleasing or encouraging, owing to the massive floods that hit northern parts of Karnataka this year.
Speaking at an event on Wednesday in the city, Yediyurappa added that the government plans to provide houses for everyone in the state but due to the floods in the northern parts of the state the plan has been put on hold.
“Lakhs of houses have collapsed due to floods and we have promised to reconstruct all houses which will cost Rs. 5 lakh per house. We are giving one lakh rupees in advance” Yediyurappa said.

Over 105 flights cancelled, more than 450 services delayed due to fog at Delhi airport
New Delhi (PTI): More than 105 flights were cancelled and over 450 services delayed due to low-visibility conditions amid fog at the Delhi airport on Sunday.
An official said at least 55 arrivals and 52 departures were cancelled at the airport.
According to latest information available on flight tracking website Flightradar24.com, more than 450 flights were delayed and the average delay time was around 36 minutes for departures at the airport.
In a post on X in the evening, Delhi airport operator DIAL said operations are running smoothly.
DIAL operates the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), the country's largest airport that generally handles around 1,300 flights daily.
Flight operations have been disrupted for the past many days in Delhi and other airports due to dense fog.
