Five-year old boy dies of fever at flood relief camp in Belgaum; family blames authorities
Belgaum: A five-year old boy on Monday night died in one of the flood relief camps in Surebaan of Ramadurga Taluk in Belgaum District due to fever.
The deceased infant has been identified as Abdul Saab Mullanawar (5), a resident of Dodda Hampiholi village. According to the reports his family had been staying at the APMC flood relief camp from last one month as their house had collapsed due to heavy rain. Abdul was suffering from high fever and his parents blamed the authorities alleging that they did not respond on time to save their child.
Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa announced a compensation of five lakh rupees to the boy’s family.

PM unveils development projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore in Sikkim
Gangtok (PTI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched development projects worth over Rs 4,000 crore in Sikkim while attending the closing ceremony of the state's 50 years of statehood celebrations.
The projects span a wide range of sectors such as infrastructure, connectivity, healthcare, education, power, urban development, environment, tourism and agriculture, the officials said.
These projects are aimed at accelerating holistic and inclusive development in Sikkim.
The PM's visit marks an important milestone in the golden jubilee year of Sikkim's statehood and reflects the government's "continued commitment to the rapid and sustainable development of the Himalayan state", the officials said.
