Founders Day celebration of Muslim Boys’ Orphanage alumni on October 26 in Mysuru
Mysuru: The Alumni of Muslim Boys’ Orphanage, Mysore will celebrate Founders Day on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Apna Ghar, Bannimantap, Mysuru. The programme will also include a book release ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
The event will be presided over by Alhaj Tanveer Sait, MLA of N.R. Constituency, Mysuru. Dr. Tipu Shahid Khan, son of Muslim Vellore Founder of Muslim Boys’ Orphanage, will be the chief guest. Anwar Pasha, Secretary of Muslim Boys’ Orphanage, will attend as Guest of Honour.
Other invited guests include Dr. Maher Mansoor, Dr. R. Abdul Hameed, and Mohammed Aleem Ulla, District Manager, KMDC Tumkur and Bangalore South.
The celebration is being hosted by the Alumni of Muslim Boys’ Orphanage, Mysore.

Assam: Principal of govt school held for 'sexual abuse' of student
Tezpur (PTI): The principal of a government school in Assam’s Sonitpur district has been arrested for alleged sexual abuse of a female student, a police officer said on Saturday.
The Class 9 student had alleged that the principal made lewd comments and touched her inappropriately during Saraswati Puja celebrations on January 23.
“The girl confined in her mother, as she was afraid to attend school after the incident. The family members filed a complaint at Missamari police station. Based on it, the principal was arrested on Thursday,” the officer said.
The accused, the principal of Missamari Higher Secondary School, is also the president of the All Assam Higher Secondary Schools Principals’ Association.
An investigation is uderway, he added.
