Bengaluru: Ganesh Miskin of Hubballi, who has been arrested by SIT in connection with the assassination of Journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh, is reportedly the head of RSS band.
SIT officials have arrested Amit Ramachandra Baddi, a resident of Janata Bazaar; and Ganesh Miskin, a resident of Nekar Nagar. The duo has been given in police custody.
Amit, a small jeweler; and Miskin, a worker in an agarbatti factory; both were childhood friends. It has been said that Ganesh Miskin was the head of RSS band of Hubballi.
Amul Kale had reportedly called them to get help to kill Gauri.
Amit on the bike?: With the arrest of Amit Baddi, the SIT’s investigation has reached to a significant stage. He had taken Parashuram Waghmore to Gauri’s home on the bike. Besides, it was he who escaped with the revolver after the crime, Investigators alleged.
The nine accused in Gauri murder case arrested so far had divulged about Amit and Ganesh. Therefore, the SIT officials have arrested them. Parents of the arrested have been informed and mentioned to contact them in a letter.

Deir al-Balah, Nov 1: Israeli airstrikes on Friday killed at least 24 people in northeastern Lebanon, the country's news agency said, raising the death toll from eight there.
It was the latest deadly toll in the area since the conflict between Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah escalated last month.
Israel's military has said that its operation in Lebanon is targeting Hezbollah's military infrastructure.
Lebanon's state National news Agency reported four airstrikes in different villages across country's northeast, saying rescuers were still searching for survivors in Younine, a town in the Bekaa Valley, from the rubble of a targeted house.
Hussein Haj Hassan, a Lebanese lawmaker representing the region in Baalbek-Hermel region, said that 60,000 people have already fled their homes in the area due to Israeli bombardment.
