Bengaluru, October 02: As the H1N1 cases are on the rise in the state, more than 200 cases were tested positive in the state in September.
Since January 2018, more than 4000 suspected samples were tested and 242 samples were tested positive. Last year, 13,849 samples were tested and 3134 cases were tested positive in the state. Compared to last year, the positive cases are less. But within September, 204 cases were tested positive. Following this development, the Health Department Commissioner has directed all DHOs to take all measures to treat the patients, guide them and to take post-treatment precautions.
Tamiflu tablets
The Commissioner has directed all the DHOs to take care about the patients identified under ‘A’ category. Tamiflu tablets should be distributed to all hospitals including taluk, district and PHCs. If there was a scarcity of Tamiflu and other required medicine, the authorities should get the medicine through Rashtriya Arogya Abhiyan, for which fund was released, the Commissioner said.
Funds released
In the first phase, the Health department has released Rs 12.5 lakh to each district and medical college hospital under the Rashtriya Arogya Abhiyan, while Rs 5 lakh is for taluk hospital, Rs 1.5 lakh for CHCs and Rs 25,000 for PHCs.

Mumbai (PTI): Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Rajat Patidar, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli blasted half-centuries as the defending champions beat Mumbai Indians by 18 runs in an Indian Premier League match here on Sunday.
Salt (78 off 36 balls) and Kohli (50 off 38 balls) stitched together a 120-run stand for the opening wicket before Patidar scored a rapid 53 off just 20 balls as RCB posted 240 for 4.
In response, Mumbai Indians were restricted to 222 for 5, with RCB spinner Suyash Sharma (2/47) putting the skids on the home side with a double strike in the eighth over, from which they could not recover.
Sherfane Rutherford top-scored for MI with an unbeaten 71 off 31 balls.
While opener Rohit Sharma appeared to be struggling with a hamstring issue and had to retire hurt on 19, his partner Ryan Rickelton made 37, while Suryakumar Yadav (33) and Hardik Pandya (40) were the other contributors for MI.
