Vijayanagar: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday said that there is no need to associate political angle to the stone-pelting incident of Saturday night reported in Hubballi. He said that the incident should be looked at as a law-and-order issue.
Addressing at the BJP State Executive meet earlier today, he said, “Police had taken action based on a WhatsApp post and had arrested the accused. However, people gathered outside the police station in a provocative manner and caused a riot, which is unpardonable.”
“The police will take strict action against people behind this incident. I am suggesting all such organisations to not take the law into their hands. The state will not tolerate it,” he added.
