Humnabad: Three of same family killed as bike crashes into bridge
Humnabad: Three members of a family died on the spot after their bike crashed into a roadside bridge near Hallikhed (B) village in Humnabad taluk on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Venkat (40), his wife Shilpa (35) and their daughter Rakshita (12), all residents of Rajeshwar village. Another child, Digambar (15), sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to Bidar Institute of Medical Sciences (BRIMS) Hospital for treatment.
According to police, the family was travelling on a bike towards Bidar when the rider lost control and the vehicle hit the bridge.
The incident occurred within the limits of Hallikhed (B) police station. A case has been registered, and further investigation is under way.

Trump cares deeply about US-India relationship: US envoy to India
Washington (PTI): US President Donald Trump cares deeply about the US-India relationship, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said on Tuesday after meeting Trump at the White House.
“Back in the US for a few days. First stop, meeting with our GREAT President in the White House. The President deeply cares about the relationship between the US and India,” Gor said in a post on X on Tuesday evening.
Gor also posted a photograph of himself with Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio in the Oval Office.
Gor assumed the office of the US Ambassador to India in January this year. Earlier, he served as the Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office.
Gor also serves as the US Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs.
