Bengaluru, June 21: “I don’t have any differences with Minister DK Shivakumar. We are fine. But you people (media) are trying to divide us and giving free publicity”, said PWD Minister HD Revanna.
Speaking to reporters at Vidhana Soudha here on Thursday, Revanna said that both of them were in good terms. But media people have been making issues and giving publicity. “Why should we oppose when you are giving free publicity”, he said.
Common Minimum Programmes (CMP) meeting of the government was held on Wednesday and there was no difference between Shivakumar and himself after the meeting over loan waiver issue. Programmes would be introduced by merging the manifestos of both the parties. “It is our priority that CMP should give importance to loan waiver issue. I have informed our opinion. In the same way, we have placed our demand of giving Rs 6000 pension every month for senior citizens and Rs 5000 for pregnant women per month for five months. It is far from truth that both of us have exchanged verbal duals. We have good relationship. But the media is creating the issue”, he clarified.
Income Tax department conducted raids on Minister DK Shivakumar. But there should not be any vindictive politics in such issues. Power is not eternal. One who has the power today will be powerless one day. It is not good to hate anybody.
-HD Revanna, PWD Minister
