Belgavi: More people are likely to join the BJP from Congress after the by-election, predicted Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi.
Speaking to media representatives in Athani on Sunday, he said, that many Congress leaders were convinced that the Congress party will not last for long. They think that have better future if they join BJP.
"MLA Lakshmi Hebbalkar is our sister and she will be welcomed if she joins our party. Therefore she might have said that she can change Belgavi politics. I will talk about this if she meets me," Savadi said.
The party workers wanted me to be a candidate in the Athani constituency. Thus there were confusions among the activists. All such confusions came to the end after the CM's statement and now we have decided to win the BJP decided.

Tirupati (PTI): A Chennai-based devotee on Saturday donated an electric bus to TTD, which the temple body promised to utilise for freely ferrying pilgrims.
Vardhaman Jain handed over the keys of the bus to TTD additional executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary.
"Jain donated an electric bus to TTD on Saturday morning," said an official press release from the temple body.
The donor performed special prayers for the bus in front of the Sri Venkateswara temple.
TTD is the official custodian of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple, considered the richest Hindu shrine in the world.
