Bengaluru, Jan 28: Strongly responding to the statement of Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde that ‘Dinesh Gundu Rao is a person who eloped with a Muslim woman’, Tabassum Rao, wife of Dinesh Gundu Rao, said that “I am a proud Indian”.

In her Facebook post, Tabu Rao said that “I think I am the easiest target for the BJP leaders who could not face my husband politically. After BJP MPs Pratap Simha and Shobha Karandlaje, Ananth Kumar Hegde has been dragging my name for political gains. I am a mother of two girls and a housewife”.

“Yes I was born as a Muslim. But we are proud Indians. I have never criticized the BJP leaders personally. If they have guts, let them face my husband politically instead of throwing stones from behind a housewife. I have tried to repost Ananth Kumar Hegde in Twitter. Instead of responding to me, he has blocked my account”, Tabu said in her post.
