Bengaluru: In the backdrop of extension of the COVID-19 lockdown in the country till May 31 and with regards that the Eid-ul-Fitr (Celebrated by Muslims after completion of holy month of Ramadan) falls under the extended lockdown, Imarat-e-Shariah Karnataka has issued a set of guidelines for Muslims.

In an advisory issued by Ameer-e-Shariath, Sageer Ahmed Rashadi, the organization has issued six guidelines with regards to Eid-ul-Fitr for this year. The advisory also urged people to maintain all precautionary health measure during the Eid.

In one of the guidelines, the advisory called on people to avoid useless spending and urged them to help and care for poor people, needy relatives while also approaching them with humility, compassion and equality,

“This time celebrate Eid with simplicity. Avoid useless spending and help and care for your poor and needy relatives as much as you can. Approach them with humility, compassion and equality” it stated.

“In the current pandemic situation, it is impossible to hold any kind of gathering. Therefore Eid namaz will not be organised in Eidgahs. In the masjid, not more than five members of the Masjid should pray Eid namaz during the early morning hours. Others should pray Eid namaz at their residence by following Islamic rules and government regulations or individually pray two or four rakats Chasht Nafil namaz at home. Hopefully, almighty Allah will reward us for Eid namaz” the second guidelines read.

“Avoid hugging and handshake while exchanging greetings on Eid and do not go out of the house unnecessarily. Also avoid going out to meet relatives and friends as much as possible. Any kind of outing or travel after Eid is harmful” it further added in the third guideline.

It also called on people to pay Sadqa-e-Fitr amounting to Rs 70, before Eid.

“Make as much Duas as possible on Eid. The day of Eid is considered as a moment of acceptance” it said.

In the last guideline, it informed people that after Eid a request will be made to the government to open religious places.

“After Eid, a request will be made to the government to open the religious places by including tall religious heads. Make Dua that we succeed in our effort and Masjids can be opened as soon as possible” it stated.

New Delhi (PTI): The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations on Thursday announced the Class 10 and Class 12 results for 2026, with overall pass percentages of 99.18 per cent and 99.13 per cent, respectively.

A total of 2,58,721 candidates appeared for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), or Class 10, examination.

About 1,03,316 students took the Indian School Certificate (ISC), or Class 12, exam.

Girls outperformed boys in both examinations.

In ICSE, girls recorded a pass percentage of 99.46 per cent compared to 98.93 per cent for boys.

In ISC, girls achieved a 99.48 per cent pass percentage, while those of boys stood at 98.81 per cent.

Students can now access their scorecards on the official website cisce.org.
