Chikkamagaluru: It was known that conflicts between India and Pakistan would arise before the Lok Sabha polls 2019. The BJP is unable to face this election on the issues of development. People should not trust the BJP, Chief Minister Kumaraswamy appealed.
Speaking at the Congress-JDS workers' conference on Friday at Lal Bahadur Shastri Taluk Stadium in Koppa, he said, "A retired Army officer had discussed with me two years ago. He had said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would make a confrontation between India and Pakistan before the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Modi will then come to seek votes by creating a story."
Kumaraswamy further said "His statement has become true now. Pulwama attack was taken place in a similar way."
"Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency candidate had given best performance when he was a minister in the previous Congress government. As an MP, he will emphasize the development of this part. Send Pramod Madhwaraj to Parliament so that an alliance government can be formed in the Center," Kumaraswamy urged.
Candidate Pramod Madhwaraj, Minister Jayamala, MLA TD Rajegowda, JDS leader Bhojegowda also spoke on occasion.

Islamabad (AP): President Donald Trump says he told top US envoys not to travel to Pakistan to negotiate with Iran, telling Fox News that "they can call us anytime they want.”
In a brief phone interview Saturday, Trump told Fox News that he told US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner “you're not going to be making any more 18 hour flights to sit around talking about nothing.”
Trump also said of the US side “we have all the cards.”
His comments came after the White House said Friday that Witkoff and Kushner would be heading to Pakistan for another round of negotiations with Iran.
