Raichuru, May 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this election is a battle between the BJP which is committed for development and the Congress which has been doing divisive politics by opposing the development.
Addressing an election rally here on Sunday, he said that the Congress which has failed to do development works for the last five decades, is now making allegations against BJP. So, is it not necessary to give them the answer in this election, he asked.
The people who are braving the scorching sun would give answer to those who want hung assembly sitting in AC rooms. The language could not come on the way of your love, he said.
“You are my owners. You have ordered me and I have followed it. Raichuru is the land of Haridasa and Vachanakars. This land was glittered by various cultures and traditions. In spite of it, the Congress did not learn anything from here. This election would decide the fate of the state. The Congress has been chanting Modi mantra and scolding me is their strategy. It is the right to time to say good bye to Congress. When the people of the country said good bye, the Congress had collapsed in the last Lok Sabha election. In the same way, you should send them to the home in Karnataka also and elect the BJP”, he appealed.
“The central government has its share in ‘Anna Bhagya’ scheme of the government. But the Congress has covered up this. My government is dedicated to the welfare of the poor. It’s my duty to fill the bellies of the people. The government has been spending thousands of crores for filling the bellies”, he said.

Sakti (Chhattisgarh) (PTI): The Chhattisgarh police on Thursday registered an FIR against Vedanta Group chairman Anil Agarwal and others in connection with the blast at the firm's power plant in Sakti district that claimed 20 lives, an official said.
The explosion occurred on April 14 at the Vedanta plant in Singhitarai village when a steel tube carrying high-pressure steam from the boiler to the turbine burst, leaving several workers with severe burn injuries. The incident claimed 20 lives and left 16 persons injured.
A case has been registered at Dabhra police station under sections 106 (causing death by negligence), 289 (negligent conduct with respect to machinery) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Sakti Superintendent of Police Prafull Thakur said.
"Eight to ten individuals, including Vedanta Group chairman Anil Agarwal, have been named in the FIR. If more persons are found responsible during the investigation, their names will be added," Thakur told PTI.
Investigation into the incident is underway and several reports are awaited, including post-mortem reports of the deceased and findings from the forensic science laboratory and the industrial health and safety department, he said.
"A technical team has also been constituted to probe the cause of the blast. Further sections will be added if required after all reports are received," the SP said.
Following the incident, the opposition Congress had demanded registration of an FIR against the plant management and a judicial inquiry into it.
