Bengaluru: Reacting to the Karnataka High Court’s order on disqualifying Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna from his post over alleged irregularities in his 2019 poll affidavit, JD(S) MLA A. Manju on Friday welcomed the development and also expressed that justice had been delivered.
Addressing the reporters here, he stated that “I welcome the High Court’s judgment, our legal struggle has got justice.”
“He has been disqualified for providing false information. If they believe that they are right, they shall pursue a legal battle. But in a changed scenario I am now a JDS MLA. Even though we are in the same party there is no question of withdrawing the case against Prajwal," he clarified.
Manju further clarified that he joined the JD(S) without any conditions, and that he also had informed about the case filed against Prajwal in the past itself during the conversation between JD(S) chief H.D Deve Gowda.
Manju who contested the polls in 2019 from the BJP ticket against Revanna, lost the polls following which he and G Devarajegowda, a advocate from the constituency filed petitions alleging election malpractice as per the Conduct of Election Process Rules.
