Kalaburagi: A woman from Farahtabad village here died after reportedly consuming sheep lice medicine mistakenly over stomach pain reliever.

The deceased has been identified as Shivamma Siddu, a resident of Farhatabad.

According to reports, Shivamma had been experiencing stomach pain for the past five years.

On the night of March 7, in an attempt to find relief, she allegedly consumed the sheep lice-based medicine, believing it to be a remedy for her condition.

Police officials stated that Shivamma collapsed and died while being taken to the hospital.

A case has been registered at the Farhatabad police station, and further investigation is underway.

Tirupati (PTI): A Chennai-based devotee on Saturday donated an electric bus to TTD, which the temple body promised to utilise for freely ferrying pilgrims.

Vardhaman Jain handed over the keys of the bus to TTD additional executive officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdhary.

"Jain donated an electric bus to TTD on Saturday morning," said an official press release from the temple body.

The donor performed special prayers for the bus in front of the Sri Venkateswara temple.

TTD is the official custodian of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple, considered the richest Hindu shrine in the world.
