Karnataka: Congress MLA resigns; May join BJP soon
Bengaluru: Congress MLA from Chincholi constituency, Umesh Jadhav on Monday morning resigned from his post at Srinivaspur in Kolar.
Jadhav met speaker Ramesh Kumar and submitted his resignation.
Jadhav’s resignation comes before the Congress-JDS coordination committee meeting, which has sent shocks in the camps of both parties.
According to the sources, Jadhav will now join BJP on Wednesday in a event in Kalburgi, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw visits BEML unit in Bengaluru
Bengaluru (PTI): Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday visited the BEML unit in Bengaluru and reviewed the progress of activities there.
Vaishnaw, who is the Minister for Railways, Electronics and Information Technology, as well as Information and Broadcasting, also held discussions with the senior officials and staff of BEML, PIB Karnataka said in a post on 'X'.
The Minister inspected the railway coaches being manufactured and received information from the officials regarding the progress of the work, it added.
