Bengaluru: The number of registrations for the “Gruha Jyothi” scheme reached to a whooping 12.51 Lakhs as of 21st June, said BESCOM. However, with the government portal Seva Sindhu witnessing a large number of traffic and experiencing lags on the very first two days, the state government has introduced another easy method to register for the registration of the scheme.

The state government has provided separate User IDs and passwords to every electricity office, enabling consumers to register applications smoothly in the electricity offices also. The move is set to reduce the number of traffic and huge pressure on the Seva Sindhu portal.

At the same time, BESCOM has also shared an update on the last date for the registration for the Gruha Jyothi scheme.
