Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Congress tweeted from their official Twitter handle on Saturday saying that the BJP MLAs would have long been in resorts had it not been for the raging corona crises.

“BJP Ministers and MLAs, who had gone into hiding for a long time instead of involving in covid management, are now suddenly out and about in the battle for the chair of power. The BJP, which is so occupied in the battle for political power in their very own tenure, will never be able to protect the people”, Congress tweeted.

The Central, State BJP governments have been a failure when it comes to providing vaccines for the people, and the Corona pandemic has claimed the lives of lakhs of citizens. As a responsible opposition party, Congress has come forward to save the lives of people. Let the government approve the 100 Crore project proposed by Congress to vaccinate the people for free, the party demanded.

“Minister Dr. Sudhakar avare, long ago you spoke about having placed vaccine orders in companies, have the ordered vaccines arrived? What happened to the story about Global tender? After observing the BJP members involved in doing promotions with private hospitals, it looks like BJP has placed orders for private hospitals instead of government ones”, Congress outraged.

The government’s priority is not covid control, instead, it is damage control. The BJP which has not an atom’s worth of concern for the people is busy worrying about its broken home. You couldn’t do anything about MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, but by taking action against Yogishwar, do you think you will be able to create the impression that your spine is intact, Nalin Kumar Kateel avare!?, Congress questioned.

Tehran/Washington: Iran’s Fars News Agency has reported that two missiles struck a US Navy vessel near Jask in the Strait of Hormuz, citing local sources.

According to the report, the vessel was hit after it allegedly ignored warnings from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to halt.

There has been no official confirmation from US authorities on the reported incident so far.

The development comes shortly after US President Donald Trump said Washington would begin “Project Freedom” to guide stranded ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

US Central Command said the operation would involve 15,000 military personnel along with more than 100 land- and sea-based aircraft, warships and drones.

Further details about the reported strike and any damage or casualties remain unclear.
