Bengaluru: Karnataka on Saturday reported 308 fresh cases of Coronavirus including 80 children across the state between Friday 5 pm and Saturday 5 pm, an official bulletin informed. The state has also recorded three deaths in the last 24 hours, two in Bengaluru Urban District, and one in Dharwad.
The total tally of the number of cases reported to date in the state has climbed up to 6,824 along with 81 deaths the state has witnessed due to the deadly virus.
A 23-year-old youngster who was admitted to hospital in Bengaluru Urban on June 9 due to fever, vomiting, and headache, passed away on June 12. He tested positive for the virus. Another 62-year-old man who was admitted to a hospital in the same district on June 11, passed away on June 13.
In Dharwad, a 70-year-old man who was admitted with breathing problems died on June 12.
Among the District which reported new cases on Saturday are, Kalaburagi 67, Yadgiri 52, Bidar 42, Bengaluru Urban 31, Dakshina Kannada 30, Dharwad 20, Udupi 14, Hassan and Bellary 11 each, Vijaypura 6, Raichur and Uttara Kannada 5 each, Kolar 4, Davangere 3, Mandya and Haveri 2 each, Ramnagar, Mysuru and Bagalkote reported one case each.
Of the 6,824 cases reported in the state so far, 3,648 patients have recovered from the virus and have been discharged from the hospitals. On Saturday, 209 patients recovered and were discharged across the state. The state has registered 81 death due to the virus while it has 3092 active cases currently.

Jaipur (PTI): Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday expressed concern over the reported attacks and disruptions in prayer gatherings of the Christian community in different parts of the country, saying such incidents were "worrying and condemnable".
In a post on X, Gehlot said that while the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was visiting a church and giving a message of peace and harmony, news of attacks on members of the Christian community from various regions reflected a serious contradiction.

"Symbolic gestures would not be enough, and strict legal action was required against those spreading hatred," the senior Congress leader said.
He added that Indian culture has always upheld the spirit of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam", where every citizen has full freedom to practise their faith.
Gehlot urged the Centre and state governments to uphold the rule of law and ensure that no citizen is forced to celebrate their festival under fear.
