Kodagu: Officials of the Forest Department on Tuesday captured the Tiger that had killed two people within 24 hours in K Badaga village of Kodagu district.
In an operation of the forest officials, the Tiger was captured near Nanachchi of Kutta Village in south Kodagu.
On Sunday evening, the Tiger had assaulted and killed 18-year-old boy Chethan before assaulting and killing another 75-year-old man Monday morning.
The Tiger had also assaulted and injured the father of Chethan who went in search of him. The incidents triggered people’s anguish against the forest officials for not taking measures for the safety of people.

Dubai (PTI): An Indian crew member was killed in an "unfortunate" maritime incident, the Indian mission said on Friday, extending assistance.
The Indian Consulate in Dubai did not give much information about the incident but said it was "saddened to learn of the unfortunate incident at Sea that caused the tragic death of an Indian crew of a ship".
In a post on X, the Consulate said it was in touch with the ship's owner and is ascertaining further details.
"The Consulate will render all possible assistance in this matter on priority. Our deepest condolences," it said.
