In total, the region has got more than 50 per cent more rains. During May last week, the state got 70 per cent more rain than normal rains. Normally, the state would get 125 mm rainfall from March to May end. But this time, it has got 193 mm rainfall, he said.
It is reported that north interior, south interior, coastal and malnad regions have recorded highest rainfall than the normal rainfall in the last five months. In the last two-three weeks, the state got good rains due to which farming activities are accelerated.
