Mysuru, July 20: A missing lecturer found dead in the backwaters of Kabini reservoir near here on Friday.

The deceased is identified as Deepika (29) and she was the resident of Gayathripuram in the city. She had left home on Monday saying that she would go to college. But she did not return home. Her family members lodged a missing complaint at the Nazarbad police station.

But she was found dead in the backwaters of Kabini reservoir near Beechanahalli and it triggered suspicion. Parents and relatives of the woman staged a protest in front of the KR Hospital alleging that it was a murder.

New Delhi, May 7 (PTI): Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Wednesday met Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and discussed projects in the state.

Shivakumar discussed various development projects in Bengaluru and other parts of the state, an official statement said.

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Administrative Officer Tushar Girinath, Chief Commissioner Maheshwara Rao and other state officials were present in the meeting.
