Modi is misusing power: HDK
Bengaluru, May 16: JDS president HD Kumaraswamy has alleged that by saying that he would not allow JDS-Congress combine to form the government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been misusing the power.
Speaking to reporters at a hotel here on Wednesday, Kumaraswamy said that though Congress has got highest number of seats in Goa, the BJP has formed the government. But he is saying that he would not allow the JDS-Congress combine to form the government in Karnataka and it’s a clear misuse of power and dual stand, he said.
Narendra Modi-led Central government has also been misusing Constitutional institutions like Income Tax department, CBI, Enforcement Directorate and others for his political gains, Kumaraswamy alleged.

Minor girl kidnapped and raped; main accused and two cafe owners held
Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
