Mother, daughter commits suicide moments after clicking selfie together
Mysuru: A mother and her daughter committed suicide by jumping into a river after clicking a selfie in Huklahalli, Nanjanagudu Taluk here on Monday.
The mother and her daughter have been identified as Manjula (38) and Soumya (19), residents of Bandipalya in Mysuru.
According to the reports they jumped Kapila River moment after clicking a picture together.
It was later revealed that Soumya was married seven months ago and her husband died in a road accident recently.
Depressed over her husband's death, Soumya has said to be taken the extreme step.
A case in this regard has been registered at Hullahalli Police Station.

9 killed, 10 wounded in South African pub shooting
Johannesburg (AP): Nine people have died, and at least 10 others were wounded after a group of gunmen carried out a shooting at a South African pub during the early hours of Sunday, authorities said.
The incident occurred just before 1 am in the township of Bekkersdal, which is located 46 kilometres (28 miles) west of Johannesburg. It is the second mass shooting to happen in South Africa in three weeks.
About 12 unknown suspects in a white mini-bus and a silver sedan opened fire at pub patrons at KwaNoxolo tavern, in the Tambo section of Bekkersdal and continued to shoot randomly as they fled the scene, according to police.
