Bengaluru: No Congress MLAs are joining BJP. BJP leaders are spreading rumors, stated Parameshwar.

Speaking to reporters near his residence on Tuesday, he said that he had spoken with Satish Jarakiholi directly. He has also clarified that the news of him joining BJP is false. The BJP leaders are putting a lot of efforts to destabilize the coalition government. That is why they are saying that the Congress MLAs are joining the BJP. There is no need to stretch this issue furthermore.

“Congress-JD (S) coalition government will complete its five years. Nobody needs to worry,” he added.  

“A delegation led by the Chief Minister has met the prime minister in Delhi and tabled the issue of Kodagu and North Karnataka. He has promised to send a team from the center to review the situation in Kodagu. In North Karnataka, crop loss of Rs 8,000 crore has been reported. The Prime Minister has promised to send a team to review in this area as well,” he said.

New Delhi (PTI): The Delhi Police has arrested five of a family for allegedly assaulting a police officer and snatching his service pistol during a raid in the Sultanpuri area, an official said on Wednesday.

The accused are Rajender (50), his sons Ritik (24), Sachin (29), Abhishek (26), and his daughter Komal (22). 

The incident occurred on September 2, when a team from the Anti-Narcotics Task Force arrested Alka, wife of Rajender, for possession of heroin, police said.

During the raid, Alka's family members attacked a police officer with sticks and bricks and snatched his service pistol, mobile phone, and wallet. However, the officer managed to recover his service pistol, they said.

Police said that an FIR was registered and an investigation was launched.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the accused, absconding since the incident, from a flat in Raghubir Nagar in Delhi.
