Bengaluru: Minor Irrigation Minister N. S. Boseraju on Friday dismissed speculation regarding a change in the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President or a possible cabinet reshuffle, stating that no such decisions have been made at present.
Speaking to reporters at Vikasa Soudha, Boseraju responded to ongoing discussions sparked by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's recent visit to New Delhi. “There is no change in the KPCC President. These are merely speculations. As per the information available to us, no cabinet reshuffle is on the cards either,” he clarified.
He further added that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has already conveyed the same message, emphasizing that no leadership changes are being considered at this time.
“I have been with the Congress for 55 years and have held various responsibilities. Any decision regarding party leadership or cabinet changes lies solely with the high command. If any changes are necessary, they will be made at an appropriate time,” N. S. Boseraju stated.
He also confirmed that the Chief Minister had discussions with the party high command in New Delhi, where he briefed them about the political and administrative situation in Karnataka.

Sirsi (Karnataka), Apr 8 (PTI): The police in Uttar Kannada went into a tizzy on Tuesday after they found fake currency notes of Rs 500 denomination from a house in Dandeli with 'movie shooting purpose only' written on them.
Based on a tip-off, police searched a rented house at Gandhinagar in Dandeli and confiscated the fake currency notes along with a money counting machine.
Arshad Khan, who is said to be from Goa, was staying as a tenant in the house belonging to Noorjan Jhunjuwadkar, police said.
Police were informed after Jhunjuwadkar noticed that Khan was absent from the house for the past one month.
The fake currency notes had the inscription 'Reverse Bank of India' on them, but did not have the signature of the RBI governor, police said.
The notes were printed on a shining paper with only zeros written in the place of the number, and 'movie shooting purpose only' inscribed on them, police said.
A hunt is on to trace Khan to question him about the seizure, they added.
