Bengaluru, October 01: Clarifying that there was no conspiracy to kill Dalai Lama as per the information of the state police department, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy said that it was just a rumour.
Speaking to reporters at Vidhana Soudha here on Monday, the Chief Minister said that unnecessarily, the name of the Dalai Lama was being dragged into such issue.
On loan waiver, the CM said that there was no confusion regarding the issue. He had held a meeting with all bank officials and officers have not issued notices to the farmers. Banks and officials have been sending the intimation letters about discussion between the banks and the government. The letters have not intended to ask farmers to repay their loans, he said.
Javare Gowda in Pandavapura had borrowed loan in 2007 and in 2017, a notice was served to him. So, as a final resort, a notice was served from the Magistrate Court and it was not done in this government. He has already directed all bank officials not to force the farmers to repay their loans. Loan waiver was not a child’s play, he clarified.
“Congress and JDS leaders will sit and discuss about the Cabinet expansion. The Cabinet will be expanded shortly. If needed, we may change the portfolios of some ministers”, he said.
PWD is the mother department for all departments. Total 13 grade officers of various departments were transferred. The PWD has total 4,567 officers and among them, only 526 officers were transferred based on the transfer policy, he clarified.
