No need to read too much into DK Shivakumar statement: K.C. Venugopal
Ballary, October 21: AICC General Secretary and State In Charge K.C. Venugopal said that there was no need to read too much into the statement of Minister D.K. Shivakumar on separate Lingayat religion.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Venugopal said that D.K. Shivakumar was a senior party leader and whatever he spoke, there was something in it. So, there was no need misinterpret it, he said.
It was far from truth that he has taken D.K. Shivakumar into task for giving such a statement. Shivakumar has expressed his opinion. He has not done any mistake. He has spoken right thing. But it was not the party opinion. It was his personal opinion, he said.

Over 10 feared dead in blast at firecrackers manufacturing unit in TN
Virudhunagar (PTI): More than 10 workers were feared dead following a blast in a firecrackers manufacturing unit near here and some others were severely injured, police said.
The blast occurred when about 30 workers were engaged in routine manufacturing related processes at the firecrackers unit at Kattanarpatti near here, they said adding portions of the building too collapsed under the impact.
