Bengaluru: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, who has come forward to help mango growers, has said that mango growers do not need to worry.
“Regarding the problems of mango growers, I have discussed with the chief ministers of neighboring states. The government is committed to maintaining the interests of Mango growers,” Kumaraswamy said.
Due to the Nipha virus that appeared in the neighboring state, the demand for mangoes had fallen and left the farmers in distress. Farmers are facing massive loss as the tons of mangoes grown by farmers have no buyers.
Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, who is has understood the problems of Mango growers, is thinking to give support price for mangoes. He has also discussed with the chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra in this regard.

Udupi: A 29-year-old woman, Prasanna, reportedly ended her life on Wednesday, with initial reports indicating that she had been struggling to balance the demands of work and home life following childbirth. The Karkala Rural Police have filed a case and initiated an investigation after receiving a complaint from Prasanna's mother.
Prasanna, who married in December 2022, is survived by her husband and their 10-month-old daughter. Her husband works in Bengaluru, while she resided with his family. According to police sources, Prasanna had been in frequent contact with her mother, expressing feelings of emotional strain due to her new responsibilities as a mother. Despite her in-laws' reported support, she shared with her mother that she felt unprepared for the challenges of balancing her career and family life so soon after becoming a mother.
The family had encouraged her to seek treatment, and she was reportedly receiving support to help cope with these challenges. However, Prasanna is believed to have died by suicide at her husband’s residence between 10 am and 2 pm.
A case in this regard has been registered at Karkala Police Station.
